Alberto and Susana make the perfect couple. Attractive with good jobs and big plans for the future: a new house and a wedding in grand style.
Alberto is sub-manager of an enormous supermarket and Susana is the sexiest newsreader on a television channel. Ernesto and Lea are their closest friends but they have no money, no future and certainly no plans.
He shouts out the offers in a supermarket over the loudspeaker instead of working on the radio and she has to pretend to be deaf and dumb to do the translations for deaf people on the news.
But everything changes when, through a medical error, Ernesto is diagnosed as having an incurable tumour and is given three months to live at the most. All their lives change drastically and all the lies and half-truths in which they live come to light.
Alberto y Susana son la pareja perfecta. Guapos, con una intensa vida social, buenos trabajos y grandes planes a la vista: una casa nueva y una boda por todo lo alto.
Ernesto y Lea son sus mejores amigos. Pero a ellos las cosas no les van tan bien. No tienen dinero, no tienen futuro, y desde luego no tienen planes.
Pero todo cambia un buen día, en el que los peores presagios de Ernesto (hipocondriaco incorregible) se hacen realidad: a causa de un error médico, le diagnostican un cáncer incurable, y le dan tres meses de vida como máximo.
Toda las vidas de ellos cambian de un modo muy drastico y todas las mentiras y medias verdades con las que conviven salen a la luz.
